Dr John qualified in Dentistry from the University of Glasgow with Commendation in 2018. He has worked within General Dental Practice, multiple hospitals and the Public Dental Service. Within these sites he has worked within the specialties of Paediatric Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Oral Surgery and Maxillofacial surgery. He brings this wide range of experience in multiple specialties to the clinic to provide the best care for his patients.
Dr John has been treating anxious children and utilising the latest technology since graduating. He has extensive experience in providing pain free anaesthesia using “The Wand” and has provided training and courses in its use to General Dental Practices as well as the Public Dental Service. He is also trained in providing inhalation sedation.
Dr John went on to gain Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians Glasgow and a PGCert in Dental Education. He is an Honorary Clinical Teacher in Paediatrics at the University of Glasgow which allows him to inspire the next generation of dentists to show the same care, kindness and compassion to patients.
Outside of work Dr John is a retired track and field sprint hurdler and sprinter. He had the honour of representing and captaining Scotland in a career that saw him compete across Europe, hold Scottish and Celtic records, and be undefeated in Scotland over sprint hurdles from 15 years old up until retirement. These days, Dr John prefers to keep fit and complete challenges for charity, like the Ultra Marathon Spartan Race!
