WHAT THEY ARE?

Dental veneers are one of the most popular ways to enhance your smile.

HOW DO THEY LOOK?

Veneers subtly enhance the existing tooth’s overall aesthetic appearance.

HOW DO THEY WORK?

Traditionally, delicately thin porcelain is bonded on to the tooth surface following minimal preparation of the tooth’s enamel to provide and enhanced aesthetic appearance. A more modern approach is to bond white composite resin directly on to the tooth’s surface without any alteration or ‘filing’ down of the natural tooth structure to provide an improved aesthetic.

WHAT THEY ARE?

Onlays are used to predictably repair teeth which are no longer suitable for a simple dental filling.

HOW DO THEY LOOK?

Onlays can blend seamlessly in to the natural tooth structure and can be made from a tooth coloured material, making them almost unnoticeable.

HOW DO THEY WORK?

The damaged tooth is strategically modified to enhance its structure before a dental onlay is made in the lab. Once the onlay has been perfectly crafted it is then bonded on to the natural tooth.

WHAT THEY ARE?

Dental crowns are used to enhance the strength and appearance of severely broken, weakened or heavily filled teeth.

HOW DO THEY LOOK?

Dental crowns can be made from different materials such as pure metal, white porcelain or a mixture of both.

WHAT THEY ARE?

Dental bridges can be used to fill a gap or space in your mouth.

HOW DO THEY WORK?

The bridge is attached to the tooth or teeth adjacent to the space in your smile, therefore it is crucial that the teeth being used to support the new bridge are healthy.

WHAT THEY ARE?

Dental fillings can be used to directly repair teeth that have been damaged e.g. through dental decay or trauma.

HOW DO THEY LOOK?

A choice of materials can be used as a filling, from white composite resin to grey dental amalgam.

WHAT THEY ARE?

Dentures can be used to fill the space left by missing some or all teeth.

HOW DO THEY LOOK?

Dentures can be made on a base of acrylic, metal or thermoplastic nylon and are topped with the highest quality prosthetic tooth to provide a comfortable and natural result.

WHAT IS IT?

Endodontics is the area of dentistry that manages the condition of the inside of the tooth. Root canal treatment is one example of an endodontic treatment.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Root canal treatment involves the shaping and disinfection of the inside of an infected or dead tooth. Once complete the tooth is then filled with a special material in order to seal it off from further bacterial infection.

WHAT IS IT?

Dental exactions are often a necessary part of a dental treatment plan, be it to remove a poorly tooth or to provide some extra space for your exciting orthodontic treatment.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Always, your comfort and safety is of paramount importance to us and we will strive to ensure that your tooth is removed in a controlled and relaxed environment. For those individuals (adults and children) that are particularly concerned about such treatment, conscious sedation using ‘happy gas’ is available.
